Elisha

Business Administrator

I am Ajibola Elisha OJO (JMAN).
My university experience thus far has been amazing. I have learned and experienced so many new things in KWASU, and it has gone by so fast. I am still discovering all the opportunities that KWARA State University offers. Kwara State University, Malete is a very welcoming place, and from the first day, I felt at home here. Most say that you will be defined by your university (undergraduate) life. Others claim the secondary (high) school is their most profound experience. In my own case, it was the former who saw me grow into the man that I am today. I got into the university in 2013, for a 4-year course in Business Education.

Everyone’s first semester at university is bound to be different. It’s a major step up from secondary or high school – bringing new friends, new places, and new experiences. My experience has been a mix of both positive times and challenges which I had already anticipated before starting. Classes are great and I had fun attending classes.

Graduate Student

I am Towoju Adedoyin John AKA (Dr Taj)

I don’t know where to start, I remember being a first-year student in the Department of Politics and Governance, I don’t know exactly what to expect because honestly, I wanted to study in a Federal University, I had to learn and take my time to understand my environment and different resources on campus, I get to realize that if I study hard I can start working with the University even as an undergraduate, I tried my best to get the required CGPA, I never knew that I could have three (3) solid years of working experience as an undergraduate but KWASU made this possible through the Student Employment Scheme.

These are just a few of the many opportunities KWASU presented to me as an undergraduate even up to the postgraduate level.
Over the years I ‘ve learned to take initiative on how to seek resources and mostly how to Network. I will forever be grateful to KWASU for the warmth and care I have enjoyed and the foundation for my career success, I have subsequently gained further valuable experience having been elected as the Alumni Association Vice President.

Thank you KWASU

Stanbic IBTC bank

My experience at Kwara State University has prepared me to begin a successful and fulfilling career at Stanbic IBTC Bank as Client Service personnel in one of the bank’s locations in Lagos. The Knowledge impacted through the course; Banking operations and others by Prof Adeyemi, Prof Odedokun, Tayo, Mrs. Ojulari are exemplary. Much success has been recorded and it can be attributed to my academic journey at KWASU.

One of my most influential classes was my Entrepreneur course instructed by Dr. Muritala Awodun. This class embodied the spirit of KWASU with a special focus on critical thinking, collaboration, and driving for results through innovation and entrepreneurship – raising business leaders. Within the course, I was able to build a strong foundational understanding of enterprise creation which I now use today across the work environment and birthed my company; Deji Foot-wears. Overall, I am proud to be a member of KWASU Alumni community and its numerous faculty which have helped to shape my career and the person I am today!

OGUNDELE

PhD Student

My name is Israel Segun OGUNDELE, one of the pioneer graduates of the internationally acclaimed and prestigious University (KWASU). I am also a pioneer M.Sc. graduate from the same institution and I am currently working on my Ph.D. at KWASU, Faculty of Education, Department of Business, and Entrepreneurship Education. My experience at KWASU over the years is nothing short of awesome. The university is known for its community development and voluntary services. This offered me the opportunity to engage in voluntary services in the Department in the year 2015 when I returned for a master’s program. The voluntary services include teaching, helping senior lecturers, and professors in the department in several areas including research. The university also provides an avenue for me to volunteer and work with the Alumni (KWASU Alumni Association) in various capacities, such as Chairman for Grants and Scholarship Committee, KWASU Alumni Association. All these spurred me to develop more interest in working and contributing positively towards the development of KWASU at large.

KWASU has really contributed a lot to the wealth of knowledge that has been garnered. Morally, mentally and academically, KWASU has consistently illuminated my paths. Kwara State University has granted me several opportunities and I consider it a great privilege to serve in these capacities. While on the M.Sc program, KWASU offered me the opportunity to serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) and as well worked as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA). This also gave me the opportunity to work directly with the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah as the Coordinator for Abdulrasheed Na’Allah Internship Program.I must admit that I am a proud KWASUITE and I am glad for being retained as an academic member of staff, Department of Business and Entrepreneurship Education,  Faculty of Education, KWASU. KWARA State University is an Institution with a lot of potentials and highly sought after talents.
